If you want to make your own yummy, healthy and perservative-free baby food for your stage one baby, you have come to the right place.

More and more of us want to know exactly what is in the food we give our babies, and want to be assured it is 100% natural goodness for them.

These recipes only use good, natural food and your babies are guaranteed to love them.

Let us know what you think and whether you have any other amazing recipes in the comments!

Avocado and Pea Puree

A simple green classic.

For lots of protein and healthy fats, combine avocado and peas together to make a healthy green bowl.

The avocado requires no cooking at all, all you have to do is peel and mash it. Then you can steam or boil the peas for about 5-7 minutes, let them cool, and add to the avocado.

Blend in a blender and you are ready to go.

You can add a little bit of greek yoghurt if you want a little sweetness on there, or if you want to introduce your baby to the new flavours slowly.

Sweet Potato and Carrot Puree

For a hearty root vegetable mix, use sweet potato and carrots.

Roast both in the oven for about 30-40 mins, let cool and then mash or blend together.

This baby food will have a lovely taste and will fill your baby up easily.

A perfect addition for Autumn time.

Pumpkin and Thyme Mix

On a similarly Autumnal note, try out this unique and lovely pumpkin and thyme mix.

Roast your pumpkin, let cool and then add to a blender with some fresh thyme.

This baby food will be a great way to introduce some new flavours to your baby’s diet, and it will be a sensory experience for them.

If you have lots of pumpkin, keep the rest to make yourself a pumpkin pie.

Autumn favourites for the whole household with this one.

Strawberry and Banana Smoothie Bowl

For something sweeter, try a strawberry and banana smoothie bowl. If you want to introduce more fruit to your child’s diet, this is a great way to do it.

Add strawberries, bananas and a little bit of yoghurt to your blender and mix all together.

The yoghurt will give that little bit of extra thickness that turns your smoothie into a smoothie bowl.

This means your baby can eat it like baby food rather than drink it as a smoothie, which should be easier for them at this stage in their development.

Baked Potato with Butter

For something with no blending involved, why not try a baked potato with some milk and/or butter added?

Potatoes are soft enough when baked for your stage one baby, and they will be very tasty for them to enjoy.

Let your potato cool down enough first, as baked potatoes are very hot when they come out of the oven.

This is a great way to shake up the textures in your baby’s diet, and keep them happy and stimulated.
